U definitely can…u shudnt have any issues.

Tag your “no-crawl”-content with the tag of your choise and write a http filter to remove the tagged content. Write a user control or a web part that applies this filter to the “Response.Filter” only if the current user is the “crawl-user”.

content to be excluded from search

It was great reading your blog. But I need you to help profer a solution. My name is Tyrin-J Osimen and an IT consultant here in Nigeria.

I am convincing a client to use SharePoint to manage there business processes and they seem to be listening. They have asked me to do a POC, which I am currently working on using ASP.NET forms. Well, so far so good until i just hit a snag in the underlying worklow. I am building the workflow using Visual Studio 2008. I noticed that when VS deploys the workflow, it completes prematurely after it has been initiated by a list item created programaticaly.

The workflow is such that a task is created (CreatTaskWithContentType) after the workflow is activated. The task is created quite alright by the workflow because it is in the task list with it’s status indicating that the task has not been started. When I check the status of the workflow on the list it is attached, the status indicates that the workflow has completed even though I have not edited the task.

I have checked the corelation tokens and taskid assigned to the task, they are okay. Please do you know what the issue might be as I am runing out of time. I have less than a week to show my POC.

Once I added that person to the Visitors group of the parent site (which has view rights to the web parts library) they could see all of the web parts.

I have one related question that is there any way that we can specify the quota for Document Library

The page-parameter “ControlMode=Edit” also works perfectly on Publishing Pages (Article Pages) as long as the page is checked out to the current user.

I fortunately managed to figure out this on my own, but I’d like to know where you got this information from, and if there exists other page-parameters that could be useful.

I am unable to see ‘audit log reports on my piblishing portal site collection. Should i turn on the reporting feature. Ok hang on .. Well, i even can’t see the site collection features link on my site settings page. Can you tell me where i can find this on my MOSS 2007 (trial) installation. Or is this feature not available on trail version?

The technique I am purposing does nothing of the two.

sitedeleted event can be written, which actually checks the logged in user role and can direct him to the top site. But stil, there is a problem of deleting the root site.

How did MS miss such thing?
